Who Are We?

Established in 2021, upon the new normal adaptation arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic, Unfolding SRHR is formed where the originating mission is to bridge the information and knowledge gap related to gender and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights among young people. 

‘Unfolding SRHR-bridging the gap’ is the digital innovation where online portal and social media is used as a one-stop platform to provide access to SRHR and gender-related documents, conduct discourse for progressive SRHR related environments, strengthen the capacity of young people to understand SRHR related issues and link youth to scientific information related to gender and SRHR. Digital innovation is an important aspect to reach a larger and diverse population with the intended service to achieve SRHR and gender- related goals of Universal Health Coverage.

How We Work?

We work towards advocating for young people through the digital platform to ensure they have access to resources on
SRHR related content.

• Online Portal:
  The online portal platform created namely ‘Unfolding SRHR’ is a concept of open community library with SRHR and gender related policies, guidelines and toolkits. The portal will also have blogs written by and information and opportunities for young people and youth. Thus, an online portal is one stop information platform to access information and documents. 
•  Social media advocacy:
  Various SRHR related information will be shared from the facebook, instagram and twitter platform in the form of pictorial posts, memes, illustrations, blogs, podcasts and expert talks at regular intervals.
• Online consultancy:
  The young people with queries and related SRHR issues and gender can directly message on the page or send their queries through form where their queries will be addressed by the advisors and experts on SRHR respecting the privacy. 
• Opportunities:
  Provide possible information regarding various national, regional and international opportunities where young people can engage and participate. 
• Policy discourse:
  Researches, podcast series, articles and webinars will contribute for policy level discourse on issues of gender and SRHR together with young people and other key stakeholders.
• Capacity Strengthening:
  Capacity strengthening sessions on SRHR and gender issues will be conducted routinely to reach diverse young people and youth through online media.
